  We have decided to bring back a self-service cloud hosting solution - The Divio Open Cloud. It's not just a return; it's a thoughtful redesign to improve your experience with the Divio platform.
   

• New Pricing Model

  In response to customer feedback, we've introduced customized plans and further refined our pricing model to improve transparency and value. For example, Divio now offers cloud hosting subscriptions that don't charge a margin on cloud hosting resources, but don't worry! Legacy plans will remain the same until changes are made, at which point the plan will no longer be available. Our goal is to increase modularity without increasing cost, ensuring that you only pay for the services you need.

Cloud Hosting vs Cloud Management - what’s the difference?

Divio offers two kinds of product categories - the Divio Open Cloud, which consists of cloud hosting, and the Divio Enterprise Cloud, which is cloud management. The two product categories are mainly differentiated by the level of customer requirements on the underlying cloud infrastructure services. 

Divio Open Cloud - Cloud Hosting

The Divio Open Cloud is a managed cloud hosting solution that provides all the cloud infrastructure services required for your web applications. You simply buy a piece/allowance of cloud infrastructure resources and services (e.g., RAM, Object Storage, Database, etc.) centrally managed by Divio on a shared, multi-tenant cloud region. You run your application on a cloud infrastructure with many other customer applications. The standards of the cloud infrastructure don’t allow us to incorporate custom requirements (such as different database versions, for example). 

You have the selection between Lite and Business.

Divio Enterprise Cloud - Cloud Management

The Divio Enterprise Cloud is a cloud management solution that can customize your cloud services according to your needs. The underlying cloud infrastructure resources and services managed by Divio are only provisioned and managed for your applications (dedicated and isolated). Bring your existing cloud vendor account to Divio, or we will advise and propose the proper setup. 

When to choose which solution?

The pricing concept is the same for Divio Open Cloud as for Divio Enterprise Cloud. 

Both products include access to Divio’s Application Delivery Platform. 

We recommend choosing Divio Open Cloud, if:

• you are looking for an affordable cloud hosting solution

• you do not have specific requirements that deviate from Divio’s standard cloud infrastructure services setup

• you maintain 10 applications or less

• you already have an manage an existing cloud vendor account
